The header section as I said in the introduction is the upper part or layer of a website and in the layout section of your blogger dashboard. By default, it is locked that is when you were creating the account. This provides hindrances and it does not allow you to add any gadget to that region except the sidebar section. Whatever gadget you approve in the dashboard will show on your website but this depends on where you place that gadget.

What are some of the importance of unlocking the header section?

The steps in unlocking the header section

1Go to the Theme section of your site

2 Click on edit HTML

3 When you are on the new page, click on the symbol that looks like a square

4 All the gadgets and sections will be displayed. Click on the header.

5 It will take you to all the codes that pertain to the header

6 Look for these words " Showaddelement = no and locked= true

Change the no to yes and the true in the locked to false.

7 Scroll down and click on save.

Save it and go back to the layout section. You will discover it has been unlocked
